Surrounded by her family, Gladys “Happy” Noble, aged 92 years, passed away peacefully in her home in Pinawa, Manitoba. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 68 years, Roy; her daughter Gayle (Michael) Rutherford and her son Gary (Sandi) Noble. She will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren; Jason (Kelly), Michael (Joni), Jaclyn, Nicole (Todd), Grant (Carrie), Melissa, Ryan (Sharon) and her two wonderful great-grandchildren Noah and Amy.
Happy was predeceased by her parents Ludwig and Nettie Levsen and her siblings.
Happy was born April 11, 1926 in Coderre, Saskatchewan the youngest of seven children. Happy’s early years were tough, her Dad passed when she was five years old and her Mother when she was seventeen.
Happy moved to Moose Jaw, SK after her Mother’s death where she completed a college Business course and obtained a job with the Land Titles Office. She met the love of her life Roy and they were married on September 17, 1949. They bought the Noble family farm in the early 1950’s and started raising a family. Happy had open heart surgery in 1961. A couple of years later they left the farm when Roy took a job with Co-op Implements. This took the family to Lloydminster and then to Manitoba. They spent a few years in Winnipeg before moving to a hobby farm near Garson. In 1988 they retired to Pinawa.
Happy loved to travel, she and Roy took many trips across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. One of her favorite was in 2004 when she and her family traveled to Germany to reconnect with her Father’s family there.
Happy’s greatest treasures were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nothing pleased her more than having family gatherings with everyone there. She especially enjoyed the one on one conversations, catching up on their lives.
Happy saw each new day as a gift and graciously shared it with family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1 at Pinawa Lutheran Church, 25 Massey Avenue, Pinawa, MB.

Roy,
I was shocked when I heard the news Friday morning that Happy had passed away. I know that she had been in ill health for some time. Evelyn and I remember the pleasant times we had with Happy and you at the monthly PCF services at the Ironwood, even though it has been some time now. We pray that God will continue to give you strength in these difficult days ahead.
