1955 ~ 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband, daddy, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Gillis Cooper. He passed away in his home on December 24, 2018, at the age of 63. He was born in Portage La Prairie.
Gillis will be lovingly remembered by his wife Colleen. He is survived by his children, Lesley, Amy Lee and Christine; his grandchildren, Jorden, Jacob, Parker, Micheal, Cody, Mya, Pryia and Lela. He will be remembered by his siblings, Kelly (Laura) and Pearl (John); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Olga Buss.
A big thank you to home care and the palliative care team for all the care and compassion they showed Gillis and our family.
As per Gillis’ request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on his birthday, May 12, 2019. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
