Georgina Meril Arnaud

1941 ~ 2020

On October 10,  2020 after battling back from a stroke, it is with shock and much sadness we announce Georgina’s passing at the age of 79.

Born in Winnipeg on May 19, 1941 she is pre deceased by her parents John DeForest Charles & Evelyn Gladys Charles and her brother Arnold Charles.

She is survived by her sister Shirley Dierckens of Winnipeg, sons: Tim Edwards (Kathy) and grandson John McLeod, all of Grand Marais, MB., and Jerry Arnaud (Debbie) of Winnipeg.

Over the years known as “Georgina”, “Gramma”, or Georgie she touched the lives of so MANY people in her lifetime and anyone who met her quickly realized she had a wonderful heart and contagious smile. She loved fishing, weekly bingo, animals and nature all which she enjoyed every chance she got and could often be seen riding her golf cart and scooter up and down the streets of Lakeshore Heights, where she resided for her final years.

There is no possible way to measure the amount of loss we feel at this time…    and there are no words…

The family would like to thank the Nurses & Doctors of the Pinawa Hospital for their caring and kindness.

Due to Covid we can only have a small private ceremony in days to come. In lieu of flowers, if anyone wishes to, they can donate to a local animal shelter or soup kitchen.  She would have liked that.

“Rest in Peace Mom; We will always Love you.”
