1929 ~ 2014
With heavy heart our family announces the sudden passing of our Dad George Naismith on December 17, 2014. Dad was born on March 21, 1929 in Neepawa, MB.
He was predeceased by his son Randy on August 8, 2014 and leaves to mourn his beloved wife Wilma, children Jan (Bob), Kevin (Marilyn), Jeff (Amy) and daughter in-law Mavis, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Dad loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly, and has left them with so many loving memories of their Grampa and “Papa Wheeler”.
Dad worked for Manitoba Hydro for 42 years. After 20 years as District Supervisor at Seven Sisters Falls, he retired in 1984.
Dad was a very humble and giving man.
In keeping with Dad’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

I was very fortunate to have started my Manitoba Hydro career with George when he was the District Supervisor in Oakville. There are very few people that I’ve known who had such a great work ethic. This memory has stayed with me since.
Our deepest sympathy to Wilma and family
