1958 ~ 2020
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Gary Wayne Francis on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 at the young age of 62.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kristyn (Michael) and Ashleigh (Richard); his beloved grandchildren, Landon, Danica-leigh, Aiden, Adam and Sara; as well as brothers Ken and Dave; and many other great friends and family. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Bud and Ida Francis; sister Darlene; and ex-wife Ruth.
Gary lived his life to the fullest and loved being around his girls and grandkids more than anything in the world. He loved fishing, Blue Bomber football and being outside by a fire having a drink. Gary worked in security at HSC for just over 20 years and during that time made lifelong friendships and always had the most interesting stories to share. We will miss Gary’s laugh and hugs the most. Until we meet again, Sociable.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Gary’s life will be held in late spring.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Pinawa Hospital for the wonderful compassion and care they showed Gary and his family.

So sorry to hear of Gary passing away. He was the only cool manager we had at HSC and treated everyone in a fair manner. He had principles and a great sense of humour when the situations went to the dogs! I’m sure he related many of them to his family.
A man worth meeting and I am glad I did.

Gary was a good solid person who cared about all those he came into contact with, enriched the lives of those of us he lived and worked with, and was generous and honest to all. He just made, everyone’s life better and the world a happier place to be. My condolences to the family.
