May 30th, 1960 – December 15th, 2022
Gary passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on December 15th, 2022.
At an early age Gary learned how to hunt, trap and fish from his late grandfather in Winnipegosis. These teachings and love for the land were passed down to his family and friends. Gary loved being surrounded by people and often planned community gatherings that involved his passion for music. Gary truly used his heart and hands in service to others. He did this as a carpenter, sculptor, educator, and youth care practitioner.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his children, Keith (Jenelle), Julie (Justin), and Melanie; his grandson Brayden; his siblings, Bob(Susan), Henry (Jackie), Jack(Leona), Diana(Cliff), Bill, Lorne, Ken (Tillie), and Helen (Ronald); and many nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his mom Olive; his brother Eddie and sister Linda. He will also be missed by his friends Angel, Clare, Mitch and many others.
In lieu of flowers, in remembrance of Gary’s life, the family asks that charitable donations be made to Indigenous Health (HSC) indigenoushealth@wrha.mb.ca
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends on December 21st.
