July 3, 1949 ~ October 1, 2023
With shock and deep sorrow, the family of Fredrick Hare announces the sudden passing of this spirited human being, father, husband, and papa.
From his closest friends and family to his community, Fred shared joy with whomever he met, never hesitating to stop along the path to chat or wave to a passing stranger. Pinawa was where he loved to be. His home was always warm and welcoming to all, often full of laughter from grandkids, the smell of fresh ground coffee, and happy music.
Fred’s most important things in life were his family, his dog, Bailey, and his wife Caron. Music and cars holding a close second. Forever a song in his heart, and in ours. We hope you’re on the open road Fred. We love you forever.
Fred leaves his wife Caron Hare and his son Jason (Karen) and grandchildren Atlas and Frye; his daughter Jennifer Misura (Patrick) and grandchildren Evrett and Colby; his children through marriage Mark Whitlaw (Jennifer) and their children Emma and Hailey; Michael Whitlaw (Erin Roach) and Zachary Hiebert. Fred was predeceased by his first wife Darlene Hare.
A celebration of his life will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave., E., Beausejour, MB on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:30 p.m.

So sorry we don’t have more time to spend with Fred. He was a great host and great sport. I’m glad I got to see him sing on stage with the Bromantics and so glad he got the courage to go up there because he really enjoyed it!
He will be missed Caron – we are so sorry for your loss.
Sincerely

Many times Fredie and I would cross paths in Pinawa and both being from Steep Rock we had that “SteepRock connection” and Fredie would keep me posted on the comings and goings on there as he said “Even with the town changing so much” there was lots to chat about. He sometimes was easy to spot as he would have his flashy orange shorts and bandana on his head, looking pretty sharp.
Sorry we are unable to attend the Celebration of Life for Fredie. We offer our condolences to Caron , Family and Friends.

My deepest sympathies to Fred’s children and his new family. My brother (Tony Dyck) and Fred were great friends. After high school he drove school bus and he would drop in at my parents and have coffee with them. They really loved him. I got to know him too and he was a really nice guy. That is one less nice person on this earth.
