It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Frances Marek (nee Grabowski) on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home, with her daughter and brother by her side.
Left to cherish Fran’s memory are her two children Richard (Enid), and Beverley, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her brother Don. She was predeceased by her husband John, son Kenneth, daughter Marilynn, brothers Alex and Nick, and sister Rose.
Mom was born on March 2, 1924 in Gimli. Mom moved to Lac du Bonnet to raise her family. She will be remembered for her good homemade meals. In her younger years, she loved her bingo cards, reading and knitting.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home for the great care they provided.
A family celebration will be held at a later date.

So sorry for the loss of your Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother. She was always so nice to me and I thought the world of her. Spent a lot of time around her growing up and being with Connie. She always had a smile and words with me whenever I bumped into her over the years. She will be greatly missed. Heaven just received another angel.. RIP Frances.
