Frank Kovacs passed away at the age of 72 on February 18, 2018 at his residence in Elma, MB.
Frank will be missed by his children Frank (Rose), Les (Liz), Elizabeth, and Paul (Katrin); grandchildren Jessica, Jade, Thomas, Leslie-Ann, Cathryne, Christopher, Charles, Maria and baby-to-be; brother Laszlo; cousins Geza, Ava, Imrie and other cousins in Hungary; as well as many friends.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Betty Ann and his parents Ferenc and Julianna Kovacs.
Frank was born in Tapszentmiklos, Hungary on October 10, 1945. While living in Hungary, he did brick laying and was a chimney sweeper. Frank immigrated to Canada in 1968. He met and married Betty Ann in Windsor, ON in 1970. They settled in Elma, MB in 1977 where Frank worked in farming and trucking. In his retirement, he took pleasure in taking part in the parade on behalf of the Whitemouth Museum Society. He enjoyed going to the Old Age Clubs in Whitemouth and Hadashville, and also enjoyed taking in the local fall suppers.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, with viewing one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitemouth Municipal Museum, Box 294, Whitemouth, MB R0E 2G0.
