Emanuel Borkowsky

In Memorial

1924 ~ 2017

Emanuel Borkowsky, born May 5, 1924, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2017 at Selkirk Hospital.  He will be lovingly missed by his wife Ethel of 68 years, son Brian, Lois and their children Alanna (Ian) McNaught, Kent (Jill Yorga), Rachel (Gabe) Wu; son Alan, Susan and their children Julianna, Danny, Katrina, Jon, and Nicholas; along with seven beautiful great grandchildren; sisters Irene Schinkel, Esther Wonnek, Joyce Nejah; and brother Herb (Doreen) Borkowsky.

Farming was his passion and he was very proud of his accomplishments.  However, his greatest love was his family and friends.  He especially enjoyed watching the journey of his grandchildren grow into beautiful young adults.

Thanks to all of Beausejour Home Care staff for their daily quality care. Also thanks to Dr. Nick as well as the staff from Selkirk ER.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, with viewing one hour prior.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ethel, Brian and Allan and their families. We felt like one of the family when we came out to the farm- and he even put us to work. Emanuel was not impressed when we (I) had to take a ” coffee break” just to rest up. He was good-to-go! We are unable to attend the funeral but will be thinking of you all.
