It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Kondratiuk (nee Yusishen) at the age of 82.
Betty was the loving and cherished mother of Sheila (Michael) Verhaeghe and Milton. She was the doting Granny to Lauren, Rachael, Garnet and Jordan. She is survived by her sister Lillian Krawchuk, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Betty was born in Glenmoor, MB to the late Jacob and Rosalia Yusishen. She married Adolph in 1960 and together they farmed on the Kondratiuk homestead in Lowland, MB, until his passing in July 2015. Her grandchildren will treasure their time on the farm, as well as Granny’s cabbage roll and cinnamon bun lessons.

Sheila, Mike, Milton and family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. She had the biggest heart and I have so many fond memories of visiting at the farm. She always made time to stop and chat on how everyone was doing. Heaven gained another beautiful Angel.

To Betty’s family I’m so sorry for your loss. Betty was a beautiful, amazing lady. I got to know Betty and Adolph at the Lac du Bonnet farmers market and the Christmas market at the Legion Hall. Everything she made was delicious jams, beets, cabbage buns and more. They were a very friendly couple and I always looked forward to chatting with them. Rest in Peace.
