1926 ~ 2015
Surrounded by her daughters mum passed away at the Beausejour hospital at the age of 89.
Eleanor was born in Beausejour to Johann and Amalia Zirk. Predeceased by her parents, husband Robert Rach, an infant daughter, brothers William, Herman, Martin, Arthur and Edmund, sisters Lydia Fey, Olga Otto, Rose Tiffenbach. Survived by husband Roy Fiebelkorn, children Elaine (Erwin) Klann, Audrey (James) Gunning, Sandra (Les) Kletke, Beverley Rach (Errol Sharpe), grandchildren Kevin Morris (Diana Ihnatovych), Kimberly (Dale) Nikkel, Trevor Gunning, Amanda Kletke-Neufeld (John Neufeld), Steven (DeJanee) Kletke, Jesse Rach-Sharpe, Myah Rach-Sharpe, great grandchildren, Jacob Armstrong, Miles and Zlata Morris, Renée, Oliver and Andrew Nikkel and soon to be born baby Kletke-Neufeld, Roy’s children Angela and David (Jasna) Fiebelkorn, honourary daughter and son-in-law Leona and Herb Weidman, and sister-in-law Adella Zirk.
Eleanor grew up in Stead and later she and Robert made their home on a farm in Thalberg where they raised their family. Family was important to Eleanor, always visiting back and forth with friends and especially with the many relatives in Glenmoor. Eleanor also worked outside the home and farm and after the too early in life loss of Robert she moved to Beausejour, where she ran her own dress shop as a start in making a new life. Eleanor married Roy Fiebelkorn and they enjoyed many happy years in Beausejour.
She loved to read, grow flowers, make jam and do word searches. Gramma loved her grandchildren dearly and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new great grandchild. She played many card games with her grandchildren, made a great walnut slice and her cooking will be greatly missed.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thalberg, MB with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Prayers will be held on Monday, August 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Beausejour hospital, Stony Plains and Home Care for their outstanding end-of-life care.

Eleanor will be greatly missed but her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. Eleanor and Uncle Roy were not only family to our Mom and Dad (Lilly and Ed) but also great friends. Their summer car trips were memorable times they spent together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.

We want to express our condolences at this time of loss. There’s no doubt that it’s very hard for you all right now. We can all look forward to Revelation 21:4 being a reality for those resurrected back here on earth, when all tears and pain will be gone.

We would like to tell you how sorry we are for your loss. We have many great memories of our Auntie Eleanor and Uncle Robert and our Cousins when we visited Manitoba. We always felt so special and loved by everyone.. Visiting the Farm and seeing our Aunties Uncles and many Cousins was some of the best times of our lives. Our Childhood was made so much better, having you there, even if it was a few short weeks in the Summers that we came. Much love to all the Girls and Family.. Love Allen, Bonnie, Brenda and Karen..
