It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Edward Lorne Gluck on Saturday, June 8, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.
Ed is survived by his wife Olga, of 53 years; two children: daughter Candace (Daryl), grandchildren, Tyler (Laura), Amanda (Deven), Travis and Garrick; son Jason, grandchild Ella; and one great-granddaughter Averi. He is also survived by two sisters, Pearlie and Junie (Richard), one brother Wil (Janice), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed was born in Roland, Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg, where he started with the Highway Branch and then worked for Manitoba Hydro and spent many years up north. He retired in Lac du Bonnet for ten years before moving to Beausejour.
Ed loved to watch his grandkids play sports. He would always lend a helping hand. His grandkids were his world; Averi was the twinkle in his eye. He also loved to travel; Mexico was his favourite destination.
We would like to express heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, nurses and palliative care team at the Beausejour Hospital.
As per Ed’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or the Beausejour Hospital TV Fund.
