November 14, 1962 ~ October 25, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Funk on October 25, 2022.
Left to grieve his passing and cherish his memory are his parents John and Anne Funk, sister Caren, brothers Wilfred (Gigi) and Daniel (Heather), friend and former wife Linda, and their daughter Tabatha.
Ed had a ready smile and a laugh that was contagious. He had a great sense of humour and particularly enjoyed British comedies.
He grew up in Winnipeg with his two brothers and a sister. He enjoyed many lake adventures at Lee River; fishing, water skiing, boating, and hanging out with his older brother Wilfred and peers. He also loved spending time in the country, particularly ATVing in Agassiz Forest. Recently he was introduced to lawn tractor racing and he and Wilfred were in the process of hot-rodding next year’s tractor.
Ed was a humble man with a gentle and kind nature who preferred the attention be on others rather than himself. In keeping with his wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
He will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss him always. Love you Dad.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour his memory are asked to donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Sorry for the family and friends of the passing of Ed Funk. I drove with Ed at Reimer Express back in the late 90’s. Ed was easygoing and laid back and we had fun traveling Canada. Ed was a nice guy and will be missed by those he touched.
