I have fond remembrances of Doug from the years of curling with him and Bonnie in ‘Drop-In Curling here in Pinawa. Doug was a very kind, and easy going man, one who was friendly with everyone. Both your dad and mom were special people. My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dad and granddad.

We met Bonnie and Doug at the Pinawa Bridge club. They were very active in our bridge community for many years. Doug played with various partners after he lost Bonnie. We enjoyed knowing them and have missed them at The Bridge tables these past few years.
Our condolences to the family.

Carl and I were very fortunate to be good friends and neighbors of Doug and Bonnie in Pinawa. We enjoyed golf, Saturday nite bridge and a few glasses of wine with them. Our thoughts are with Kinnon, Greg, Krista and families at this sad time. Wonderful memories of a wonderful friend. Carl and Gail

My sincere condolences to Doug’s family. I had the absolute pleasure of knowing both Doug and Bonnie through the Pinawa bridge club. They were two of the nicest people one could ever hope to meet. I looked after their dog Sam when they went in to Winnipeg to help with grandchildren. When my son passed away they hosted a bridge party for me in their home. They were so kind and thoughtful. It saddens me to know that they are both gone.
Rest in peace, Doug.

My condolences to the family. Mr. E was my grade 7 homeroom teacher – he made the transition from elementary school to junior high a little less scary. Wonderful teacher!
