October 21, 1969 ~ October 3, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Doug McTavish on October 3rd, 2022 at the age of 52.

He is survived by his mom Donna, father Wilf; sisters Debbie and Tammy; his loving children and many friends and relatives.

Doug had a very kind soul, he was a generous man with a big loving heart.

He had many struggles throughout his life, but had strength and determination to overcome them. We are very proud to say that even while fighting his own battles, he never turned down a friend in need. Through it all, he never lost his compassion and always treated everyone with dignity and respect.

He loved the mountains, nature, and most of all his children.   He was passionate about collecting coins and enjoyed spreading his vast knowledge of them to anyone who would listen.

He took pride in his landscaping job, “making Winnipeg beautiful one yard at a time.”

Doug was loved and cherished by many and will be forever missed.

Hey just wanted to say I worked with Doug for many years and I considered him my best friend. He helped me learn about everyday life stuff. Taught me loads about coins, he was a man of God and would never steal from the unfortunate. I cared about Doug, he was a good man, very knowledgeable. It’s very sad this happened. Rest is peace Doug. I’ll never forget all the laughs we would have driving around the city.
