Dorothy was a warm, loving and generous woman; always putting the needs of her family and friends above all else. She enjoyed family gatherings, preparing big meals and good old-fashioned visits; especially during the holidays. She was also blessed to join in the fellowship at Zion Lutheran Church her entire adult life.
The family wishes to thank Clarence Steiner for his companionship these last several years; the hard-working, kind and courteous staff at Stony Plains and the caring, diligent staff at Beausejour Health Centre, especially Dr. Partyka and Dr. Schmidt.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Zion Lutheran Church, P. O. Box 968, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0 in her memory would be appreciated.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with Past Bart Coleman officiating; interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery and lastly, a festive lunch will be served at the Beausejour Hall in the Beausejour Room. I have many fond memories of Aunt Dorothy, on the farm, in Beausejour and then at her apartment in 2017. She was always loving and kind. When I showed the picture of her to the girls they said that is how they remembered her. Paul and I are so glad we visited in 2017, we are looking forward to seeing her in heaven some day. May God comfort you all at this time. Love and prayers.

To Dorothy’s family with sincere sympathy at this time of loss. Your Mother and Grandma was a very sweet and special person. For years I cleaned her house on Dale Avenue and then later her apartment at Stony Plains. It was always a joy to spend time with her. I have such wonderful memories . . . planting garden together, making pies, having lunch with her. I’m so glad I learned to know her and will always treasure the happy, pleasant times I enjoyed with her.
