January 13, 1936 ~ June 19, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Doreen Luining. She went peacefully with a smile on her face going home to be with Jesus and the love of her life Cecil Luining.
She is predeceased by her late husband Cecil and son in-law Bryan Ross.
Left to cherish her memories are her children Brenda (Dave), Wendy and Reg; her grandchildren Brook, Dylan, Jess, Lexi, Deena and Kaylee; her great grandchildren Jade and James; her chosen daughters Lisa Knight and Lynn Luining.
Doreen was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She moved to Selkirk where she met her soulmate, Cecil. They courted for a time and married in 1957 and raised their family. They worked together in the family business at Lakeland Dairies.
Doreen will be remembered for her patience, her kindness, who truly loved serving Jesus and was eager to share the good news with everyone she met.
Doreen and Cecil’s passion was to spend time with their family and friends at Gull Lake, always having an open door to everyone.
The family would like to thank the staff at Tudor Home for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen’s memory to Faith Temple, 968 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0N2.

Reg Brenda and Wendy I am so sad about your mom’s passing. I was hoping to see her this summer. She had a smile that lit up the lives of all who knew and loved her. She had a heart of gold. Her love of life and her laughter will be dearly missed. I was fortunate to have seen her 2 years ago. She was an amazing woman and I will never forget her. May you all find comfort in your memories of your sweet mom . Love Linda Buffie- Monteith ❤❤❤

To my dear cousins, I want to tell you that you were your Mother’s joy in life. You are great examples of what love can accomplish! You are who you are because of wonderful parents and a Mother who was incredibly special. A void has been left in this world that is being felt by many but this loss is cause for a huge celebration in heaven as Aunty Doreen joins her true love and as we celebrate the life of a great woman who lived as large as she loved. It is such an honor to come from this line of incredible & strong women who will never leave our hearts. And I am proud to call you cousins. I love you all and send you so much support at this time.

Reg, Brenda and Wendy,
My deepest condolences go out to all of you and your families for your profound loss .
I know your mom was very proud of each and every one of you , as she told me every time I saw/spoke with her.
She even got used to being put on FaceTime whether it came as a surprise or she wasn’t ready. If there’s an iPad in heaven you’re all in big trouble! At least now she is with your dad the love of her life and that in itself is a blessing . Just know that since I can’t be there on July 7, I will be there in spirit and am sending you all a big hug! The world may have lost a great woman/Aunt but heaven just gained an angel. My thoughts are with you all at this time. She will be greatly missed…
Gerald
I will miss my one and only Aunt Doreen deeply. Gerald and Barbara
