So sorry for your loss. Dennis was truly a good person and a great friend to have. There were lots of good times. Besides gatherings at the farm, I think the most fun I had with Dennis was when he used to take me out on long rides on his motorcyle. I always completely trusted him. He had a great smile. I have really missed him over the years and am so sad to hear this news. My deepest sympathies go out to you and your family Patrick.
Your friend, Janice

My deepest condolences Pat, Florence and Grace. As a good and long time friend of Dennis’ its a somber moment of looking back to when we were just kids and cherishing the parts of ones good acquaintances in life that made you better.
Denny Roboto, Rosco P Coltrain these were some the fun names we had for him, a great friend, a heart warming and always a thought provoking “different feckler” who the girls in school loved, and us guys always admired. I can smile and remember the good times we shared. Riding dirt bikes through the back country roads near Beausejour and letting loose, wiping out and busting them up, then trying to figure how we’re going to explain it to our folks. Seems like only yesterday that we were kids without a care, moving from minibikes to cars and careers. We had fun, made mistakes and loved life to the fullest, you can’t say we didn’t live and love it up with our so many great friends. Although we ended up miles away, life was hectic and we lost touch, memories would invariably pop in and wonder how he was doing and what he was up to.
He will always bring a smile to my face with some of the stuff he’d do, that’s just what he was all about, being different, breaking the mold. Denny wanted to make you think, be controversial, but he also wanted to really make you laugh. I think he’d like us to remember him that way, at least that’s what I’ll remember, busting a gut on something silly.
You’re the best Denny. I’ll miss you buddy… RIP.

Dennis and I spent a lot of time riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles and on the farm, we even got our drivers licences on the same day. He was a great neighbor and friend. Even though I hadn’t seen him in a while, I still think back of all the fun we had when we were young. I will never forget the greyhound bus trip from Winnipeg to Edmonton when we were 14, great trip. My Condolences to Florence, Grace & Patrick.

Condolence to the family and may God’s comfort and peace be upon you. Dennis was a generous person. Almost every payday he will go around and asked what do we want at Tim’s and it was his treat. He was also a helpful person. Everytime you need help he was always there to help. Will miss him.

I was shocked and very sad to hear the sudden news of Dennis’ passing. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family. I had the pleasure of working with Dennis during two separate times I worked at Toronto Electric in early 2000’s and 2012-2014. Dennis was a very dedicated and extremely hard worker whom put his heart and soul into his work and workplace. He would also be the first to offer assistance and guidance if you needed help.
One of my fondest memories with Dennis was back in the day when I had told Dennis about the turkey dinner’s I make for an event called Turkeybowl I use to plan with my old high school friends. The next day before the weekend Dennis brought for me a couple of sets of those old black steel with white speckles roasting pans – perfect for a 30Lb.+ bird – don’t even think you can find them nowadays. I asked Dennis if he would join us that weekend for the dinner in Lorne Park. Dennis didn’t typically come when invited to events but, for this event he did. I recall having a wonderful dinner with friends and Dennis, laughing it up as Dennis and I tried chugging some left over gravy outside the house.
Dennis always expressed interest in other people’s lives, changes and growing families.
King of the “Super Rush” and sharing 10% of his lottery winning’s. Dennis, you will be missed bud. Memories will live forever in our hearts. RIP my friend.

Dennis was probably one of my closest friends growing up, he always had my back even when I had been celebrating too much, he made sure I would be ok. I started my first job after graduation with Dennis with CNCP and our first experience in Fort Francis bar underage of course was to see a guy wiping his blade after stabbing a guy in the bar, quite a site for two hicks from the country. I roomed with Dennis in Wpg for a year and we partied, chased girls, watched bands and had a great time. After Dennis moved away we would phone each other every Christmas Eve and chat like we were never apart. The years slipped by and our phone calls stretched further and further apart. I wish we could have stayed more in touch, I will miss him. My condolences to you Pat and the rest of your family.

I didn’t really know Dennis till we were out of High School. I purchased his CR 250 dirt bike which began our friendship. I found Dennis to be such an interesting character, his humour was always deep and would make you think. When your Dad stopped in at the office I was able to get updates on Dennis’s life in Toronto. My favourite memory will be of Dennis up in the stands at Winnipeg Stadium with one of those huge cowboy hats pulled over his head and dancing up a storm. My condolences to you Pat and your family. RIP Dennis
