Denis Emile Joseph Rondeau

January 20, 1955 to September 24, 2020

It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Denis on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

He was predeceased by his parents Emile (Ed) and Helene Rondeau (nee Rey).

He leaves to mourn his wife of 44 years Debbie, his son Ryan (Nina) and daughter Renee, granddaughter Kyra, brother Rey (Eva), his sister in-law Shelley (Jim), Nicola and Carey, brother in-law Randy and niece Carli (Brady).

Denis was born in Winnipeg on January 20, 1955 and lived most of his life in the East Kildonan area.  He was also born into the marine business as his dad started Rond’s Marine by his teenage years.  Denis spent countless hours there and was very devoted to his customers.  He retired a short 5 years ago.

Denis enjoyed boating, but his real passion was snowmobiling.  He absolutely loved it.  He looked forward to his annual trip to Cooke City, Montana with brother in-law Jim, nephew Carey and friends.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private family service will take place in the coming weeks.

The family would like to thank the bus driver Kim and neighbour Leanne for doing everything they could.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lee River Snow Riders Snowmobile Club, Box 1303,  Lac du Bonnet, MB R0E 1A0.

We will forever miss you

Denis, Dad & Grandpa.

You left us far too soon.

I grew up with Denis and hung out at Rond’s Marine when it was at Main and Redwood. You could snowmobile right out the back door to the Red River. We spent many hours playing table top hockey. Denis was the Montreal Canadians and I was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was true friend and always there if you needed a hand. After school we went our separate ways. A couple years ago we reconnected and talked about the times we enjoyed as teenagers. My condolences to the entire family. Denis will truly be missed by all…

It is with great sadness to hear of Denis`s passing. I have had the pleasure of knowing Denis and of coarse Debbie for over 25 years through Rond’s marine. I have purchased boats, snowmobiles, quads and all the extras that go with it and always looked forward my trip to their show room and or parts dept. Denis never walked by you, he always stopped to talk to you even when you knew he was very busy. His personality was emanated through all who worked with Denis and Deb. Debbie and Denis the best couple EVER, we will all miss you Denis.
