February 12, 1954 ~ November 15, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of David Surowich.
David will be missed by his wife Sherri, daughter Christie (Michael) and son Zachary, his sister Marie (Gordon) as well as numerous other family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Minnie Surowich and his sister June.
David was usually the quietest man in the room. However, you could always rely on him to make a witty comment that would make the whole room laugh.
A Come & Go Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 25 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Garson Hall, 9 Thompson Avenue, Garson, MB.

Sherri,
There are no words to express my shock and sorrow for you and your family. My dad (who is in Cuba doing mission work right now) received an email today informing him of Dave’s passing, and he sent the message on to our family. And that his funeral had been this afternoon. It just makes me want to weep that I missed it. I am so sorry I wasn’t able to be there to pay my last respects.
Don’t I remember his quiet funny sense of humor and goofy things he said!!! I was just thinking about him the other day actually. I was remembering when we had some kind of hot rod car in the shop and I was going to wash it. I let down the hoist and someone’s tool box was in the way, crunching up into the car. I told dad with much trepidation!! And it was Dave who gently hammered and worked on that car until it was as good as new! It’s been so many years ago that we worked together. Our prayers will be with you, Curtis and Jenise Penner (Franklin’s daughter)

Sherri and Family,
My folks (Franklin and Val Penner) cannot access the Soberings Funeral Chapel site from Cuba. They asked that I would send their condolences to you. They have many fond memories of Dave working for them.
