David will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his mother Elaine Guimond, his children Jillian, Cameron and Brittny, his brother Leonard and sister Leona, his grandchildren, his nephews Alex, Logan, Michael, Brian, Glenn and Evan, his nieces Crystal and Presley, his aunts Annette Bruyere, Rita Guimond and Cynthia Fontaine, as well as his cousins and friends.
David was predeceased by his father Nicholas Fontaine, brother Joseph Henry Fontaine, grandparents Joseph Henry and Dora Guimond, and John M. and Christina Fontaine, as well as his stepfather Lou Bruyere.
David attended school at Fort Alexander and worked in Winnipeg and Victoria Beach. He loved to fix vehicles for family and friends. He was always ready to help anyone and nothing was too difficult for him. He will be missed by his great niece Aliyeh.
Wake will be held at the St. Alexandre Church starting at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at the St. Alexandre Church. Pallbearers are Chris Guimond, Roland Bruyere, Joe M. Courchene, Brunson Bruyere, Robert Bruyere and Timothy Bruyere. Honourary pallbearers are Leonard Fontaine, Alexander Fontaine, Logan Zacharias, Evan Fontaine and Michael Fontaine.
