1952 ~ 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and wife Claire Barrett.  Claire died peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 27, 2016.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Corey (Shaylin) and Kelly (Jonathon), her grandchildren Kendra, Jadyn, Karly and Emersyn and husband Kerry.  She is also survived by her sisters Kathy and Nancy as well as her mother in-law Emily Barrett and brothers in-law Wayne and Brian.  She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Leslie Bradshaw.

We would like to take this time to thank the staff at Beausejour Hospital as well as the homecare workers and nurses for the great care that they provided.

As per Claire’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beausejour Hospital TV fund.

Condolences for the family of “Claire Barrett (nee Bradshaw)”

Condolence from Meghan Goethals on March 4th, 2016 5:33 pm

Coming across Claire’s obituary today was a true shock to me. My condolences to her family, I am so very sorry for your loss of an amazingly strong woman. I got to know Claire while caring for her at the Beausejour Hospital and she was a truly inspiring woman. She loved her family so much and spoke of them so often. And the strength she showed while rehabilitating to get home to them was courageous and heart warming to say the least. I spent many days laughing and crying with her, and I will truly miss her. It was an honour to have been a part of her life.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. The loss of a family member is perhaps the hardest time in persons life. We can take comfort in the knowledge that our Creator knows our pain. 1 Peter 5:7 “throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.”
