With great difficulty, our family is announcing the passing of our beloved Mother, who left this earth the morning of December 2, 2023, at the age of 67. In those 67 years, she lived life the way she wanted, one that we will try and emulate as long as we live.
Charlotte is predeceased by her husband, Roy, as well as her parents Cyril and Roy and her brother Brian.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Blaine, Gordon and Amber.
She was someone who could out-talk anyone, even talking to a wrong number for half an hour, curious about who the person was and what they did for a living. Someone who sacrificed for her family during her lifetime. Someone who gave us countless memories growing up living in Winnipeg, Whitemouth, and Sioux Lookout, with our extended family and friends that lived there at the time.
Always ready to help anyone in need, always telling people who were going through tough times to give her a call and she would talk to them, always wanting to help, never asking for anything in return. She also did love her family more than anything else in the world.
In her final years, she did have a large amount of pain on a daily basis, but fought against it and managed to live as comfortable as possible, even fighting off an illness a couple years ago, when doctors said there was no hope for survival. She ended up proving them wrong. But in the end, she did succumb to illness, and her last days were made as comfortable as possible. We also believe that God just wanted someone to talk to. Fly high our Angel, rest in God’s arms, you’re not hurting anymore.
Many thanks to the doctors and staff at the Pinawa Hospital for all the care and compassion they showed towards our mother.
As per her request, there will be no funeral service, however Charlotte would appreciate your prayers for the Winnipeg Jets to win the 2024 Stanley Cup.
