To all the family, I am greatly grieved by the loss of a wonderful and caring person. Your family was so hospitable and Charlie helped me get my first job at Victoria Hospital when I was 17. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. We will see him in Paradise. With greatest sympathy, Donna Stohun

Dearest Donna and family:
So very sorry to learn of Charley’s death. Having known Charley for many years and when you two met and married was just the nicest news. Isn’t it comforting to know the real truth about death and the promise of a resurrection?!! It was always so nice to see you both at conventions. My heart feels your pain and I will remember you and your family in my prayers. Wish I could give you a big hug, Donna but that is not going to happen just now. I know you will have many fond memories of your loved one and hope that will be of some comfort for now. My warmest love … Rita Laidlaw

Dear Donna,
It takes time to get used to the reality of our loss. You both have a great legacy that you have forged over the years. To have so many family members loyally serving Jehovah is truly a reward! May it be of help to you, to know that we share your pain. “Your loyal love, O Jehovah, kept supporting me. When anxieties overwhelmed me, you comforted me and soothed me.” Ps. 94:17-19
You are loved and valued just as my dear brother was, take courage, better days are just before us
Much love to you and all the other family members.
Aunty Hilda

Dear Donna, Gus, Charlene, Allen, Terry, Hilda, Angie and Linda, spouses and grandchildren.
It is truly with a very heavy heart I saw this!! Life is so uncertain in this system we live, but thanks to our Loving Father and his Son, we have such a wonderful hope of seeing our dear loved ones again! I like to look at it as they are just taking a nap, waiting for Jehovah to awaken them! Looking at it this way, it’s just a short time! It’s just so close, just around the corner!! I loved Charlie! His smile was so loving and kind. Always a happy man. Truly a blessing to have known him.
Till we see him and our loved ones again, we must continue to put faith in that sacrifice Jehovah allowed. And continue steadfast. Love and hugs to you all
Beata

Just found out recently about Charley’s passing and wanted to extend our love and greetings to you and yours on your loss. It seems like only yesterday that we were visiting with you and Charley in your home and enjoying a lovely meal together. It has been over 55 years since I first met your family and you all welcomed me into your home so warmly. When I saw this notice, so many memories came flooding back. Harvey and I are looking forward to the end of this pandemic when we can be together again.
May Jehovah bless and comfort you and your family in the days ahead.

We were so saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing. Anyone who ever knew him has suffered a great loss.
Our condolences go out to you Donna and to all of your family.

In the 1950s, Charlie was in the full-time ministry as a pioneer who called on my Icelandic
Asmundson Grandparents in Westbourne, Manitoba near Portage la Prairie. They began to read and study the Bible.and what they learned touched their hearts.
They sold their Farm to retire to Transcona. At 10 years old,
I began to go with them to the Kingdom Hall to learn the true hope of a Paradise Earth, which was Jehovah God’s will and original purpose.
Many of their 12 children and their grandchildren came to learn the Truth from the Bible over the years.
We are so thankful that Charlie spent some of his youth teaching people about God’s kingdom.
Your Family are in our thoughts and prayers during your loss, but know that you will see him soon,
resurrected in a beautiful Paradise on Earth—–with no tears, pain, sickness or death.
