Bernice Honke

1926 ~ 2014

 Bernice passed away peacefully on December 5, 2014 at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home at the age of 88.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Ben Honke.

She also leaves to mourn her passing her son Les (Lori), their son Michael; and her daughter Laura (Paul), and their son Ben.

Bernice last worked for the Federal Government, retiring in 1989.

Bernice was known for her knitting and the family is grateful for the afghans and sweaters she made for them.  She was also very active within The St. John’s Anglican Church in Lac du Bonnet; as well as The Anglican Diocese.  She also enjoyed working with ceramics and bird watching at her home in Pinawa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The St. John’s Anglican Church, 86 McArthur Avenue, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba R0E 1A0.

A special thank you to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home for their care and compassion; as well as Dr. Papetti for her care.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 1:00pm at The St. John’s Anglican Church in Lac du Bonnet.
