March 21, 1932 ~ December 10, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Oma, great Oma and great-great Oma, Bernadine Mueller, at the age of 90 on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the Beausejour Hospital.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Walter; two infant sons, Juegen and Helmut; daughter Hannah; parents, Johann and Magaretha Broek; her three brothers, John, Okko and Herman; and her five sisters, Gretchen, Grietje, Hermine, Jannette and Agnes.
Mom will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children Bernhard (Debbie), Elmer (Marilyn), Herman (Heather), Selma, Linda (Kenny), Manfred (Tracy) and Loretta (John); 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 34 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mom was born in Warsingsfehn, Germany on March 21, 1932. On December 19, 1952, Mom married the love of her life, Walter Mueller. In August of 1954, together with their first-born son Bernhard, they immigrated to Canada. Their family grew while living in several locations in Canada and then finally settling in Whitemouth. They bought a dairy farm west of town where they lived and worked until they sold and moved to Beausejour in 1986.
Mom’s work was never done from raising her family, milking cows, gardening, cooking, cleaning, Church choir and watching her grandchildren. When Mom and Dad moved to Beausejour, Mom went to work at Depot Lunch which she enjoyed and later cleaning the Post Office.
After Dad’s passing Mom moved to Stony Plains on December 28, 2015. Mom truly enjoyed her new home where she met new friends, joined in many activities, games and discovered she had a hidden talent and a love for painting. Mom loved all the staff at Stony Plains and will truly be missed. Mom loved spending time with her family and seldom missed any family gatherings. We were blessed to have built countless memories for us to revisit, keeping her in our hearts forever. Mom/Oma you will be forever missed, enjoy your new home.
We would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Partyka and all the wonderful Health Care Staff at the Beausejour Hospital for all their care and compassion during this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 16 at 11:00 am at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave.E. Beausejour, with viewing one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, if family and friends desire, donations may be made to Elim Baptist Church, Box 873, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your Mother and Oma. I have fond memories of Mrs. Mueller when we were all growing up in River Hills and Whitemouth. Benny, you and your parents came to Canada three years before my parents and I came in 1957. I know they all enjoyed their lives in Canada. Please cherish and treasure your memories.

My deepest condolences to the Mueller family. Tante Dini was my aunt . What I always remember about her when we were kids that when I talked to her and in her talking to me she would always call me ‘sweetheart’ it’s something she always did with all us kids. That was always special to me. She was very caring and loving. She had a big family and did an amazing job looking after her family. One thing I realize is that as our aunts and uncles pass away we lose something very precious in our lives . Us cousins were really blessed to have such a big family
