1951 ~ 2016
Barrie passed away at the Pine Falls Hospital on June 16, 2016 at the age of 64, after a 14 month battle with lung cancer.
Left to mourn his passing is his partner Louise and her family, his niece Sheila, and friends.
A memorial service for Barrie will be held at the Pine Falls United Church on Thursday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m.

My sincere sympathy to you Louise and family.
Barry will be remembered for his great garden he grew and well known as the pumpkin man . Selling pumpkins from the back of his half ton truck, parked in the RBC / Dancyts parking lot . He fought long and hard, and will be in good hands now.

Your fields have been plowed , sheep sheared, beaver trapped and skinned. Your firewood heated many homes and your thousands of pumpkins put smiles on that many faces at Halloween . Let’s all put a smile on our Jack o Lanterns in the fall in remembrance .

We’ve known Barrie since we were all young kids running around The Rock and having the time of our lives….we’ve enjoyed the garden produce and of course the pumpkins for many years….the pain and suffering is over…may you have a huge garden to tend to lovingly now Barrie…rest easy..
