July 1, 1929 – May 4, 2018
After a short courageous battle with cancer, Audrey passed away peacefully, with loving family at her side on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the age of 88. She is survived by her nine children Burnell, Norman (Dianne), Dennis (Janet), Donald (Georgette), Dianne (Ron), Larry (Gladys), Laurie, Gail, Tracy (Brad), 17 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild and Sisters Rita (Ralph) and Marilyn.
Audrey was predeceased by her husband Albert, her parents William and Edith Claydon, Grandson Clint, brother in-law Merv and son in-law Craig.
Audrey was born at home in a log cabin in Monominto. She worked in Winnipeg briefly and then married the love of her life, Albert, in 1950. They raised their family of nine in Monominto on their family farm, where she continued to live for the rest of her life. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, home, music and her home cooked delicious food. Audrey loved animals and the simple life on the farm. She had great joy entertaining people with her music playing alongside her family. Audrey’s greatest joy was all the little children in her life.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Anola Community Club in Anola Mb at 1:30 PM. A private family internment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anne hospital, Cancer Care Manitoba, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.

So very sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. She was a very sincere, kind and gracious lady. Whenever I have driven past the farm, I have always had a warm thought pass through my mind or a smile pasted on my face. She (and your dad) had that effect on people – or at least on me. My deepest sympathy to all your family during this time. Thank you for sharing your mom with the rest of us – it is truly a gift.

Did not know Audrey very well;however, hearing all the positive remarks attests to her goodness. A good epitaph on her memorial would be “A life well lived”. Condolences to her family. Kathy and Bill Fecio

Our deepest sympathy to Audrey’s family! Sure going to miss Audrey; she was my inspiration, my friend. I think of her all the time, especially when things get tough and I don’t know what to do; I wonder what she would do… and her being a straight shooter… well she put things in the right perspective pretty quick.
RIP Audrey, love you!
