Arthur Joseph Fredette, 90, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, on August 3rd, 2021. Arthur will be deeply missed by his wife, Helen, of 59 years, son Lyle Fredette (Erika), granddaughter Claire Fredette, brother Aime Fredette (Susan), sister Yvette Kaiser (Elvin), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Art’s passion in life was good ol’ hard work. He continued working as a heavy machine operator well into his 70’s. After finally retiring, he split his time between his home in Lac du Bonnet and his trailer in Kearny, Arizona. He took pride in caring for his home, yard and garden, and spent his days puttering around looking for something to fix, improve, or burn in his rusty burning barrel in the back-yard.
Despite his sometimes gruff exterior, his contagious smile would always reveal his softer side. He often kept an extra hotdog in his shirt pocket for the neighbor’s dogs, and would humanely trap those pesky chipmunks and relocate them to Blueberry Rock. He was always willing to lend a neighborly hand whenever needed, just don’t ask him about getting water from the pump-house!
Art lived in the Lac du Bonnet area his entire life and was well known in the community.
His ashes were interred in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery on August 9th surrounded by loved ones.

Hello Hellen:
We were so sorry to learn of Art’s passing. Art as you know, was a 41 year Charter member of our Lac du Bonnet Knights of Columbus Council. Even though he was not active in his last years, it was always touching to see a donation arrive every so often with a cheery note wishing the members well. It was his way of saying “just thinking of you” and still doing his part in helping others.
He will be missed
