After a short stay in the Beausejour Hospital, Andrew passed away at the age of 86 years on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 with his niece Veronica by his side.
He will be sadly missed by his only surviving sister Mary Semeniuk and sister in-law Elizabeth Wazny. He will be missed his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents John and Agnes Wazny, brothers Stanley (Lydia), Mike (Joey), Frank (Jean) and sister Nellie and Ed Huzarski and brother in-law John Semeniuk.
Andrew grew up in Garson and was an electrician. He also farmed the family farm. He retired on the family farm and enjoyed the company spent with his long time friend Jean Urbanski. He enjoyed spending time with his numerous nieces and nephews especially Veronica. He enjoyed his outings with Veronica, especially shopping, having lunch and ice cream together.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. VanRensburg, the nursing staff at the Beausejour Hospital and the homecare workers for their excellent care.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Garson, MB with Rev. Fr. Charles Fillion presiding. Friends may pay their last respects ½ hr. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. A special thank you to nephew Neil Rentz acting as Altar Service for the mass.
