Alfred (Fred) Champagne, 77 years of age, of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba suddenly passed away on December 8, 2023 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.
Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley of 54 years, his three sons Jeffrey (Courtney), Kevin, and Trevor, his grandchildren, Steven, Janessa, Brooklyn, Jordan, Juliette, Griffin, Rocco, Mason and Lainey. Fred is survived by his brothers Richard (Yvonne), Craig (Patsy), Randy (LeeAnn), sisters Kathy and Ann (Stan), his sister-in-law Virna and his stepmother Tina’s family. He was predeceased by his parents Celestin (Les) and Margaret Champagne, stepmother Tina, as well as his brothers Billy and Ernie.
Fred was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His greatest joy in life were his grandchildren. Fred touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.
Our family would like to thank the paramedics, staff at Selkirk Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital for Fred’s care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Dayspring Fellowship in Ste. Anne, MB. Private family interment will follow in Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.

Fred to us was always a happy go lucky guy , him and I

What a wonderful man! He was always happy. My mom Lola absolutely loved all of auntie Margaret’s kids.
