May 24, 1925 – October 27, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Margaret on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the age of 92, at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Brian and Garry (Kathy); her grandchildren Kim, Jarrett, Aaron, Tom, Jeff (Clarise) and Kevin; great granddaughter Ashlynn; Lisa; sisters-in-law Margaret and Lillian Johnston; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bobby, grandson Robert and daughters-in-law Kathryn and Rhoda.
Nana was born and raised in Great Falls and lived her life there until she moved to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home four years ago. She was employed with Manitoba Hydro at the age of 16 and worked there until she retired. Nana was a very caring and compassionate person who loved spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was often seen at sporting events and functions supporting them. Nana was an awesome cook and was always cooking up a storm for her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved to knit, garden and enjoy life.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home for their compassion and care they gave to our Nana during her time in their care.
As per Nana`s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Recreation Dept., Box 160, Whitemouth, MB R0E 2G0 or the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
