1934 ~ 2016
Surrounded by his family, Don passed away at the Beausejour Hospital on April 11, 2016 at the age 82.
He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 55 years Rose (nee Cyncora), his daughter Gail (Donald) and their children Jen (Bob), Jaime (Matt), Jessica, Christine and Tracy, his son Howard (Shannon) and their children Dylan and Riley. He also leaves to mourn his sister Lena, brothers Eugene (Eleanor) and Paul (Marie), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary, brothers Michael (infant) and Bill, sister in-law Pat, brother in-law Walter, nephew Curtis and great nephew Spenser.
Donald met Rose and they married in June, 1960. They continued to farm on the family farm and raise their 2 kids. In 2004, they retired and moved to town. Dad loved to shop, play cards and talk of the good ole days. He always had stories of barn dances, working in the bush; all types of stories of his life growing up. He loved kids. His face glowed when the house was full of kids. Dogs was another passion of his, especially his Sheba.
As the years went on he was met with obstacles that weren’t easy for him. You can rest now Dad, all those obstacles are gone. We love you and will miss you dearly.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
Thank you to the staff at the Beausejour Hospital for making Dad’s final days comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Beausejour Hospital Fund.
