1937 ~ 2015
Jakob passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne Hospital on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the age of 78.
He leaves his loving wife of 54 years Gisela, his children Astrid (Ken), Olaf and Sabine. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bradley, Brittany (Curtis) and Alex, and great grandchildren Jayden and Taylor.
Jakob was born in Steinau Ukraine on June 22, 1937. He moved to Germany where he met the love of his life Gisela. The couple moved with their two young children to Canada in 1966 where they settled in Seven Sisters Falls. Jakob had a long career with Manitoba Hydro.

As per Jakob’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will be held.
