It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Butch at the Pine Falls Hospital on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the age of 90.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Olive (Nanny nee Laferte), his brothers Ernest and Joe, sisters in-law Daisy and Adele, Claire and Gilbert Catellier, and niece Irene Cyr.
He will be lovingly remembered by June (Maurice) Tardiff, Rachel (Lorne) Bylsma and Dave Cyr and their families, Louise (Brian) Keefe, Denise (John) Laplante, Gisele (Stephen) Evesyn, Lynn(Ray) Piper, Allan (Teresa) Catellier, Michelle Tymko and families.
Butch worked for Abitibi from 1945-1961. He loved to play cards, especially Crib. He also loved fishing and was an avid gardener. He was proud to be a member of AA and very proud to have been sober from November 12, 1976.
A Memorial Service will be held for Butch at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11 with Rosary being said at 12:30 p.m. at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church in Powerview.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
