1929 ~ 2013
Peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2013, Alma Tymchuk, widow of Mike Tymchuk, passed away at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Cynthia of Regina, Maxine (Marvin) of Beausejour, and Lois (Ted) of Winnipeg. Also surviving are Brother Harold Klann (Edna) of Winnipeg, Sister Doreen Shier of Kitchener, Sister in-law Rose Klann of Beausejour and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Raymond, Edmund, and Dugald.
Alma was born and raised in Thalberg. In 1951 she married Mike Tymchuk and moved to Dencross, MB. Together they farmed and raised a family.
Many will remember Mom working at the Beausejour Co-op, later fulfilling her love for plants and flowers by opening “Alma’s Greenhouse” that flourished for 17 years. Mom enjoyed the long hours she spent with her plants with each one receiving her special touch, giving her a sense of joy and fulfillment. She enjoyed socializing every spring with her returning customers.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB, with Paul Rapinchuk officiating.
A special thank you to the staff at East Gate Lodge for their loving care and support. Mom’s last days were spent in peace, comfort and dignity.
Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB, R0E 0C0, or the Parkinson’s Society, 7-414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1P2.
