1924 ~ 2012
Eva Derksen, aged 87 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Beausejour Hospital.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children Glen (Betty), Dennis (Theresa), Gail Bohemier and Dorothy Haywood; her grandchildren Patricia, Cindy, Lezlie, Devin, Chris, Koreen, Michael, Celine, Andrew, Eric and Alana; her great grandchildren; her brothers John, Bill (Gladys), Frank (Lena), Henry (Kathy), Art (Dorothy), Walter (Dora) and Jim (Nita); her sisters Anne Wiebe and Helen (Jack) Harder, sister in-law Irene Sobering as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eva was predeceased by her husband Peter, sons in-law Chick and Michel “Kiki”, brothers Peter, Ed, Albert, Ben and sister Barbara in infancy.
A special thank you to the staff the Beausejour Hospital and the Palliative Care Team for the care and compassion they showed towards mom.
A Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s memory may be may be to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
