I, Doreen Legall (nee Milke), passed away on September 9, 2023 at the Pine Falls Hospital.
I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 29, 1932 to Juliana and John Milke. We were a family of six children of which I was the youngest. I grew up living on a farm, attended public school in the vicinity of River Hills, MB. As a family we lived in Winnipeg until I was 1 year old and then we moved to the country near Whitemouth, MB. I attended various public schools in the area. Attending church was always a priority in our family. I accepted the Lord as my Saviour when I was 11 years of age. I was baptized and attended church regularly. In 1949 I attended bible school in Edmonton, then known as the Christian Training Institute (C.T.I.), for one year. I returned home back to Manitoba and enrolled in college, training to become an office worker as a secretary. I was employed with several firms in Winnipeg and at the paper mill in Pine Falls, MB. I met my husband, Doug, there and we were married in 1957. Doug began teaching school in 1963. We then moved to Pinawa where we raised our three children.
I leave to cherish my memory, my husband, Doug and three children Greg (Anita), Heather (Syd) and Tammy (Dale); nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, whom were very near and dear to my heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Whiteshell Baptist Church, Seven Sisters, MB.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doreen’s memory to Whiteshell Baptist Church.
“My desire was to live for Jesus, now I will go to be with Him in Heaven”

I have many fond memories of Doreen, she was a good friend to my mother, Lily (Tyderkie/Rempel/Taubensee) and I was the grateful recipient of so many hand-me-downs from Doreen. I was eight years younger than she was and when I attended P.B.I. I’m sure I was that best-dressed girl on campus thanks to all the lovely clothes I received from her. She was living with my grandmother, Pauline Tyderkie, in Winnipeg at the time. We rejoice with you as she has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour. Connie (Rempel) Schroeder of Morris MB.
