It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear friend Susan on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Susan was predeceased by her husband Henry.
Sue spent her final days in Pinawa Hospital surrounded by the love and laughter of her many friends.
Susan “Bush Lady” as we lovingly referred to her was strong willed, independent, and had a kind generous soul. She touched the lives of many clients and their families during her seventeen years working for and retiring with the Interlake Regional Health Authority as a home support worker. She also spent thirty- one years working for Superior Envelopes.
Susan loved her home in Sunset Bay, cherished her many close friends, enjoyed sharing a drink in her happy place” the gazebo”, and adored her fur babies past and present. Savana, the fur love of her life, was re-homed with her guidance and blessing to her friend’s loving family.
As per Susan’s wishes cremation has taken place and she will be interred in a small private ceremony at a later date.
A Celebration of her Life and lunch will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164, 45 McArthur Avenue, Lac du Bonnet MB on July 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to shine a light in Sue’s days the past few months. A special thank you to Dr. Clovechok, Megan, Brenda, Betty, Peter…all of you are part of the amazing staff at the Pinawa Hospital. Your caring, kindness and compassion never went unnoticed.
