February 17, 1955 ~ April 23, 2023
On April 23, 2023, very peacefully, with family at his side, Pierre took his last breaths.
Left to carry Pierre in their spirits are his wife of 47 years, Edith; Pierre’s four daughters, Daphne, Cara, Jeanesse, and Svetlana, who will ensure that everything is measured to the “thousandth’s”, plumb, level, and square; Troy, who is taking care of the beer fridge and the garage; and Steve, who is looking after all the little jobs. Pierre’s seven rays of sunshine, his grandchildren, will carry his memory when fishing, target shooting, quadding, walking in the bush, making (big) fires, whittling sticks, and enjoying a slice of pie, or two.
In his determination to keep family together, for many years, Pierre took two weeks off work at the Pine Falls Mill, for his idea of a holiday–to prepare The Point in advance of his legendary “Bourgeois Bash” parties. In addition to the Bourgeois clan, his ‘family’ extended to include the Carlson’s, Anderson’s, and Bakos’.
This past year reminded us of the importance of the village that pulls together. Terry & Merv, Maggie & Scott, Denise, Noëlla, Paul & Pauline, Eric, Peggy & Ed, and many special friends made the trip to visit, share food, great stories, hugs, and “I Love You’s”; and countless other family and friends graciously offered a helping hand when it was needed most.
To our dear Jean, Pierre missed you greatly for 49 years. It’s your turn now, please take good care of him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating, in Pierre’s name, to Brain Cancer Canada (https://braincancercanada.ca), or a charity of your choice. An intimate family service will occur at a later date.

I would only run into Pierre at the mill. We would have a friendly conversation about the business wondering if we would reach the finish line. You did Pierre. God Bless and keep you. My condolences to the family.
