After a happy and healthy life, our husband, father, grandpa – Fafa, brother and uncle passed away peacefully of cancer at the age of 73 on May 20, 2022 at Beausejour Hospital.
Born October 3, 1948 in Winnipeg, Manitoba only son of Lionel and Jean Warren. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Gloria Locke, brother-in-law Jean Cloutier and niece Michelle Cloutier.
He is survived by his wife Janet (Swiderski) of 3 weeks short of 49 years, daughter Crystal (Mark) Banek and son Bradley (Kyla) Warren, sister Gail Cloutier. He was grandpa to Everett and Easton Banek and Fafa to Lily and Max Warren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Grant worked at Freshwater Fish Market Corp for 37 years till retirement. For the past 10 years he worked part-time for Sun Gro in Beausejour meeting many people whom he enjoyed chatting with.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying target practicing, canoeing, miniature golf, astronomy and bird watching with all the children and grandchildren. He liked helping others but didn’t ask for help in return.
Thanks to Dr. Kim at Victoria Hospital, staff at Selkirk Cancer Care, Palliative Team that came to the house and Beausejour Hospital for his brief stay there.
Accordingly, to Grant’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering to take place.

I didn’t know Grant super well, but he was always so kind and fun to talk to when I did run into him. Sorry for your families loss.

My sincere condolences to Grant’s wife Janet and his family on the news of Grant’s passing. While I served on Beausejour Town Council, it was always a pleasure running into Grant at the SunGro Centre and spending some time talking with him about whatever was current at the time. He was a kind and gentle man who took an interest in the affairs of the Town and its council members. He will be missed. Rest in peace my friend.

So sorry to hear of your dad’s passing.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget the day Grant was at our place. I had made a pot of coffee and of course it spilled as I was pouring it. Grant looked at me and “set the pot against the cup” so I did that. Did use any sense of it but ok I’ll do it. Grant looked at with sparkling eyes . “ said not like like this . “ and proceeded to take the coffee pot and fill the next cup. That damn thing never lost a drop. I was stunned. As Grant told me .“ if you rest the pot against the top of the cup as you are pouring it will never spill.” Lol my turn next cup my turn to show him I learned my teaching from him.
That’s the Grant I will always remember. A trickster, a huge tease. And a kind and gentle family man.
To his family, I am so sorry for your loss.
Let your memories hold him close to
your hearts, And let his healing love heal you.
Rest In Peace Grant
