September 12, 1957 ~ January 25, 2022
It is with deep sadness to announce that Frank peacefully passed away with his family by his side at the St. Boniface Hospital.
He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Celeste of 42 years and his son Michael.
He leaves behind his brother Gary (Susan) and sisters Heidi (Ed) Boyko and Lorie (Randy) Rondeau; his nieces Jennifer (Sean) and Holly (Jamie).
Frank was predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Emma Howk.
He was born in Whitemouth hospital and raised in River Hills, MB.
Frank worked for Manitoba Hydro as an electrical technician for 35 years until his retirement. He met Celeste in Whitemouth, they got married and soon after their son Michael was born. They lived in Winnipeg for many years then moved to Frank’s home place in River Hills shortly after his retirement. Frank enjoyed the outdoors, the peace and quiet and the many memories of living where he grew up. He loved working outdoors in the garden, yard and making hay bales.
Frank had a kind heart and a love for animals. He was a handyman and Jack of all Trades, always busy with various jobs, repairs and projects.
Frank had a great sense of humour, he was very family oriented and family gatherings were always a special time for him. A link in our family chain has been broken. We will miss him so much.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
Our Family Chain is broken and
Nothing seems the same, but as
God calls us one by one the chain will link again
You are forever Loved and will be forever missed, until we meet again.
Offer Condolence for the family of Frank Rudolph Howk

Our sincere condolences especially to Celeste and Michael and to Frank’s siblings and extended family. His thoughtfulness is remembered from the time I was recovering from heart surgery; he sent me a “library” of information that was very useful and appreciated. A
