November 27, 1934 ~ March 3, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt, Rose Anne Proceviat who passed away after a brief stay at Pinawa Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the age of 86.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Paul in December 2018, parents Alfred and Minnie Fisk, brother Cleo and sister-in law Iris, brother Robert (Bob) and sister-in-law Pat.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Val and Connie, son-in-law Lorne, granddaughter Lyndsay and husband Adam, great grandsons Parker and Rylan, sister Linnea and husband Harold, numerous nieces and nephews and all her furry and feathered grandchildren.
Mom and Dad lived at Ena Lake, Ontario when they first were married then moved to Rennie, Manitoba where they spent most of their lives raising their daughters. Mom worked at home as a house wife and mother and together, her and Dad operated the family plumbing and heating and campground businesses (Rocky Ridge Trailer Park and Campground and Rocky Ridge Place) where they made many lifelong friendships.
Mom and Dad enjoyed socializing with family and friends. Visitors were always welcome in their home. Mom was an amazing cook and enjoyed baking and preparing holiday dinners. She made the best apple pie ever with a cinnamon crumble top which she often made special for her son-in-law because she knew how much he liked it. When Mom was younger, she enjoyed music jam sessions with her family where she played the guitar and accordion.
Mom loved curling bonspiels and enjoyed watching curling on TV. She was also a fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Manitoba Moose and loved going to games.
Mom enjoyed fishing in any season. She loved our family camping trips to English River and the Kenora/Rainy River area where she was born and spent her childhood. She enjoyed the fly-in fishing/camping trips with family. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, quilting, flowers, nature and animals. Her daughters grew up loving animals because that’s the way she taught them when they were kids. Many stray dogs and orphaned, wild animals found their way into our home when we were growing up because Mom had such a kind heart. The animals included a wild Canada goose, chickens and ducks, a black bear cub, wild rabbits and a racoon.
A special thank you to the staff at Springfield Place assisted living in Oakbank and Whitemouth PCH for their care and compassion.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel in Beausejour. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family welcomes you to be a part of the service in the parking lot of the funeral chapel by tuning your radio station to 98.1 FM. There will be an opportunity to sign the guest register and acknowledge the family from your vehicle. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Elma, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom’s memory may be made to the CNIB Guide Dog Program.

We were both so sorry to hear of our Rosie’s passing..but know she is with Uncle Paul again! They were like two peas in a pod & we thoroughly enjoyed all the years we had the pleasure of knowing them.
Rosie was a real character & we spent many a time “lettin ‘er rip!” as we laughed about whatever struck our fancy!! Going to miss that for sure!
She really was such an incredible woman..kind..patient…& loved her family above all else..
