1927 – 2020
Martin Nolt was born to Rufus & Lizzie Zimmerman Nolt on Sept. 29, 1927. He passed away Nov. 30, 2020 at the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Whitemouth, MB, reaching the age of 93 years.
Dad spent his growing up years in Lancaster County, PA. He was baptized in Weaverland Conference Church. He married Edna Kurtz on Oct. 6, 1949. She passed away Nov. 5, 2003. They set up their home close to Lebanon, PA, then in 1967 they moved to Beausejour, MB, with their 5 sons. Dad farmed & worked out in PA & continued the same in Manitoba.
He is survived by 5 sons: Ivan & Susan, Whitemouth, MB, Allen & Cheryl, Millersberg, PA. John & Evelyn, Niverville, MB, Martin & Janet, Beausejour, MB, Marvin & Janet, Beausejour, MB, 18 grandchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren, 3 brothers: Rufus, John & Vera, Lloyd & Reba, 7 sisters: Lizzie & David Gingrich, Lena & Carl Martin, Emma Martin, Miriam & Nathan Oberholtzer, Mabel & Raymond Hoover, Anna Mae & Enos Hoover, Nora & Carl Burkholder, 1 sister-in-law Martha Nolt, also many nieces, nephews, brothers/sister in-law.
He was predeceased by his wife Edna, brother Titus, sister & brother-in-law Etta & Phares Hoover, sister-in-law Bernice Nolt, brother-in-law Harlen Martin, great granddaughter Olivia Nolt.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service was held. Interment was in the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Beausejour.
