It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Alvin Schroeder, who passed away at the Beausejour Hospital on November 30, 2020 at the age of 83.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Alvina, his step-mother Molly, his sisters Leona and Joyce.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy (nee Fuerst); his sons Don (Bonnie) and Doug; as well he is survived by his grandchildren Ben and Dan.
He leaves his siblings Herby (Sandra) of Alberta, Betty of B.C. and Sharon (Milas) of Florida.
Alvin was born and raised in Green Bay, Manitoba. He married Dorothy in 1965 and the young couple moved to Lydiatt and took up dairy farming. In winters Alvin loved to spend time in the bush.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
A private Family Service was held and Alvin was laid to rest at the St. Ouens Cemetery.
