It is with broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Boyko, on Friday, September 11th at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76 years, with his family by his side.
Bruce will be lovingly remembered and leaves behind to mourn, his beloved wife Betty of 52 years, children; Kyle, Gillian (Rodney) and Andrea. Grandchildren; Mikayla, Ryan and Natasha. Sisters; Steffie, Lorna and Kay, Sisters-in-law Gladys and Carol (Jerry) and Brother-in-law Ed and many other friends and relatives.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Mary & Harry, twin sister Audrey, sister Betty, brothers-in-law Frank, Julius, Larry, Ken and Frank.
Bruce was born in Selkirk, MB. As a young man he worked with his Uncle John building bridges in Southeastern MB. On Sundays him, Betty and the kids would drive around the countryside admiring the bridges he built and looking for farm machinery. From there he worked for the R.M. of Brokenhead as a Loader Operator. He later moved on to work for the Manitoba Rolling Mill. In 1976 Bruce’s dad passed away. Bruce together with his wife Betty, decided to take over the family farm. They settled into the community of Garson, and he continued to farm right until the end.
Bruce was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed visits with friends, family and especially his grandchildren, and took great pride in his farming.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will take place.
