With deep love and affection the family announces the peaceful passing of their mother Lilly Marohn at Kildonan Personal Care Centre at the age of 89. Mom was born in Niespozianka, Volhynia, Poland and immigrated to Canada on July 1, 1951. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Helmut (May 23, 1984), oldest son Klaus (Sept. 12, 2015) and dear friend Ernie Werner (Nov 4, 2011). She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Monika (Alec), Alice (Brian), Otto, Karin (John) and daughter-in-law Susan; her grandchildren: Michael, Melissa (Garret), Jason (Jaclyn), Becky (Devan), Brad, Jayme (Devan), Vicky (Kyle) and Rachel, great-grandchildren: Damien, Kathryn, Ginny, Jackson, Ryan, Adam, Lia, Leo & Canaan, brother Art (Ella) and several relatives. Mom was active in her church, Whitemouth Ladies Auxiliary and Whitemouth Seniors Group. Mom loved family visits, gardening, sewing, embroidery, crochet, card games, shuffleboard and making puzzles. She was a great seamstress.
A private celebration of Lilly’s life for close family will take place at Whitemouth Lutheran Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Kildonan Personal Care Centre and Kin Place Health Complex for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friendship Fund, Kildonan Personal Care Centre, 1970 Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R2G 1P2
Mom, we love you and will always remember you as the strong, courageous woman you were. Rest in Peace.
