August 31, 1921 ~ December 12, 2019
Peacefully, at Donwood Manor, on December 12, 2019, God sent His angels to guide our Mom to her eternal home. She was predeceased by her husband, the love of her life, Nelson James Storsley, in August 2007, after sixty-five years of marriage.
She is survived by her three sons, James (Donna), Dennis, and Elson (Evelyn), and one daughter, Darlene Stefanko (Wayne). She is survived by seven grandchildren, Leroy Storsley (Joanne), Jennifer Zimmer (David), Leighton Storsley (Jamie), Sharenda Wiebe (Charles), Devin Bray (Amanda), Dustin Storsley (Ashley) and Jay Storsley (Luydmilla). She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren: Ava, Hannah and Lucas Storsley; Brittany, Braden and Owen Boyko; Elianna, Everett and Ewan Storsley; Smith and Liam Wiebe; Scarlette Lilly Bray, and Luka Storsley.
She is also survived by four sisters: Rose Kelbert, Norma Nicholson (Eric), Velma Wittmeier (Gerry), Sadie Dewey, and two sisters-in-law, Marion Wurch and Myrle Herrold. She was predeceased by her three brothers: Leonard, Irvin and George Wurch, and sisters Alice Boss and Edna Williams. She was also predeceased by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well.
Mom’s career was her family. She used her many talents to bless us over the years. She was an excellent cook and baker. We all enjoyed the fresh produce from her garden, year after year. Her flower beds were amazing. Mom and Dad were life members of the St. Ouens Country Church and sang many perfectly harmonized duets.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Donwood Manor who cared for Mom for almost eleven years; particularly, Personal Care Ward, Two South.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave., East, Beausejour. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow the service in St. Ouens Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Ouens Country Church Cemetery Fund or a Charity of your choice.

Thinking of you today on the loss of your mom……..
I have many fond memories of Aunt Lilly in her garden and in her kitchen on the farm, while coming there to play with my cousins.
“The soul takes flight to a world that is invisible,
And there arriving is sure of bliss,
And forever dwells in paradise”.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you……….

Aunt Lil was a gracious lady and in some of my last visits I remember her sense of humour. God blessed her with a long life so she could enjoy her family. I remember the duets she sang with Uncle Nelson in the old country church where she was a faithfull prayer warrior. I cherish the memories of another soldier of the cross gone to her reward in heaven. My condolenses to Jim and Donna, Dennis and Darlene, Elson as you celebrate a life well lived.
