It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our husband, dad, papa and friend John Laplante at the Beausejour Hospital at the age of 70 on Thursday, October 24, 2019
He is survived by his loving wife Denise of 46 years, son Marc (Karen), granddaughter McKenzie and extended family and friends.
As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beausejour/Brokenhead Christmas Hamper Fund, Box 605, Beausejour, MB R0E 0C0.

I only knew John as “Santa” at East Gate Lodge and I could see all the love and joy he brought to the residents as he handed out his candy canes and had Christmas pictures taken with each resident.
I believe he got back as much joy and love as he gave.
